Dating and A Single Parent??Dating and being a single parent is either the first thing or the last thing on most people's minds. The idea of seeing someone can be very exciting or exhausting. Who really wants to be alone their whole life yet at the same time how can one person who is already juggling so many different things think of even adding one more person to the scenario?? When I left my partner I did a lot of soul searching. I realized that I needed to be happy on my own before I could even think of anyone else. I started doing things that I enjoyed again and spent time on myself. I also set a goal of being with someone who cared about me and my daughter. In my entire life I have never experienced this but when I was getting really lonely or feeling sorry for myself because I was alone, the phone would ring and someone I knew of but didn't really know well would call and ask me out. Some of the dates went on for a period of time and some ended fairly shortly after they started but it sure helped my self esteem. I recommend using the internet as a way to meet people. It may take awhile to get used to the idea but it really is the best way to meet someone these days in my opinion. You have a wide range of people to pick from and you can spend time emailing and getting to know the person before or ever meeting them. Online Dating
