Why I should care about healthy eating
When you are a single parent healthy eating can be very difficult however it is very important. Eating a balanced diet gives you extra energy, makes you feel better, builds up your immune system, and helps you maintain a healthy weight. Feeling good and looking good help your self esteem as well. When you are a parent, single or not, time is precious. Eating healthy requires more time and planning however the benefits greatly out way the time. I plan out our meals weekly so I can do my best at making sure the meals are balanced. I then make a grocery list from my meal plan and make sure that I add some extra healthy items that are good for snacking on. Since I have started eating healthier I find that I don't get as sick, I feel better and I maintain a healthy weight.
