Can I really have a home gym for free?

We all know that exercise is important but how do we find the time to actually go to a gym and work out? Why not have a home gym? You are right, it can be very expensive to make your own gym however there are many ways to do it without spending any money.

Yoga is an excellent form of exercise that requires no equipment at all. Meditation is another free form of exercise. Both of these are great for the body and mind and don't require any equipment at all.

If you are wanting to tone your body you are going to want to do something more physical such as lifting weights. When my daughter was younger I would lie on my back, let her sit on my feet and we would hold hands. Then I would pretend to play "row your boat" she loved it and I got to tone my abs. Lifting soup cans is an easy way to lift weights when you don't have weights at home.

Walking up and down the stairs was something I used to do a lot when my daughter went to bed. If I was feeling energetic I would run up and down the stairs. In the warmer months we would walk a lot. She would sit in the stroller and I would walk like mad. Now that she is older we go for bike rides.

Another fun way to get exercise is to have dance parties. My daughter and I crank up the stereo and throw on a good cd and then dance like mad.

There are lots of fun and different ways to get exercise at home without spending any money, you just need to be creative!
