The toddler years...

Your little baby has grown up to become the little handful. Opps I mean toddler.

The age of 2-4 is a great age. Yes there are the terrible twos and the trying threes however it is much easier to do things at this than it is when they are an infant. Things like cleaning and laundry are lots of fun to kids at this age. Kids love to help so if you can make a game out of cleaning both of you will have fun.

When you leave the house you no longed need the huge diaper bag; you just need a couple items. Never go anywhere without a snack, a drink and some toys. When I travel any distance with my daughter I always bring music, juice box, snacks and books. Toddlers love to be entertained especially in the car. “I Spy” is a great game for anywhere. Also when we are driving we watch for things like bridges, cows, buses, etc.

Routine is also key at this age. My daughter loves to know exactly what is going on and when. If she misses bedtime by more than half an hour it throws her out of her routine the next day.
